33 point preventative checklist
1. Verify unit is operational before starting service.
2. Check thermostat.
3. Change filter (customer provided) ( discounted bulk filter ordering available).
4. Inspect evaporative coil for corrosion and cleanliness.
5. Check ductwork and vents for dust and debris.
6. Check condensate pan for biological growth.
7. Check float switches and test.
8. Clean and clear drain line.
9. Check blower wheel and fan blades.
10. Check evaporative motor amp draw and vibration.
11. Check belt and pulleys (when applicable)
12. Secure all panels
13. Examine all electical connections
14. Check electrical disconnects.
15. Take temperature differential measurements.
16. Check water flow (water sourced heat pumps).
17. Take water temperature measurements (water sourced heat pumps).
18. Clean condensing coils. (water source must be within 50 ft)
19. Check condensing fan motor and fan blades for vibration.
20. Check condensing fan motor amp draw.
21. Check reversing valves (heat pump systems).
22. Check relays and contactors.
23. Check capacitor for mfd reading.
24. Test time delays.
25. Check control boards. (when present).
26. Test metering devices and or expansion valves.
27. Measure operating pressures with guages or probes.
28. Check subcool and superheat levels.
29. Check compressor noise and vibration levels.
30. Check compressor amp draw.
31. Record system opperation.
32. Discuss all findings and issues with home owner.
33. Suggest improvements and or preventative repairs if needed and provide proposals.
